Woodrow W. Ware III was born in Albany, Georgia on October 18, 1977 and grew up in Aiken, South Carolina. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2006. He has lived in Athens, Georgia and has worked in the surrounding areas ever since 1996. Woodrow graduated magna cum laude with a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business in 2000 and graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. During law school, Woodrow served first as a member of the Editorial Board and later as a Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He authored a note that was published in the Journal entitled “Lord of the Reels: Can Georgia Learn from Canada’s Success to Rescue Its Film Industry?” [34 Ga. J. Int’l & Comp. L. 519 (2006)]. Woodrow worked for Lambert, Reitman, and Abney, LLC in Madison, Georgia for two years, first as a law clerk and later as an associate. He also clerked for Chief Judge John M. Ott of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit for over three years. Woodrow co-founded Shannahan & Ware, LLC and practiced law in Monroe, Georgia for two years before forming the Law Offices of Woodrow Wilson Ware, LLC. Woodrow focuses his practice on divorce, child custody, and other family law matters.
